From the Edit Post screen, click the image of the film icon in the Upload section above the post area. You can insert videos for free from sites such as Google Video, Vimeo, YouTube, and Flickr Video. To insert a video on a post or page, type the url in the editor on its own line. When you want to have the video appear on the same line as other content, type in the word at the beginning of the url and at the end of the url type

Select preview changes before publishing or select publish to publish the changes. There is also an upgrade to use videos from your computer in your blog. With the upgrade you can select a video file from your computer. Once a video file is chosen, it will upload. A status bar shows the progress of the video upload. Depending on your network provider, the transfer speed can vary.

Be sure to not close this screen while the file is being transferred. Video files are converted to MP4 and Ogg formats to allow viewers to play your video as it downloads.

When it has uploaded, you’ll see a message.

Behind the scenes, video files are being created to be compatible with the most used video players.

When processing is done, select the Gallery or Media Library tab to choose the video that was uploaded, and select Show to see the video details. This will show a preview screen and the video’s shortcode. Select Insert into Post so the video shortcode appears in the post.

[Your video file name] is the video identifier and should not be changed. The video player determines the best sizing according to your theme’s content_width.

After publishing the changes, your video will now appear.

You can also do stats tracking to see how many times your video has been watched. This can be accessed via the Dashboard Stats screen. You’ll be able to see how many times it’s been played, time watched, the last few days of viewing, and a list of where it’s been inserted on other URLs.
